Spotlight of the Week: The Tobinski Harmonic Timing Generator / Interpolating Scanner

These two modules are the perfect example of why modular synthesizers are the ideal platform for electronic music, offering highly flexible and in-depth sound generation. The modules can be used in various combinations, from multi-timbral oscillators to using the Interpolating Scanner as a Panner or the VCAs. You can also scan through the eight harmonic overtones from the Harmonic Timing Generator using the Interpolating Scanner.

The Harmonic Timing Generator can also act as a highly complex reference clock for the Tobinski Sequencer, enabling the creation of polymetric sequences.

Spotlight of the Week: Bonesaw, a filter with separate LP/BP/HP outputs and a drive circuit. The filter has a saturated fat sound, especially in lowpass mode. - Hear yourself!

There's a firmware update for the Magnolia! Here’s what's new:

• Adds 200 memory slots, bringing the total to 400.
• Adds full CC implementation (in and out) over every parameter.
• Adds MIDI over USB.
• Adds user-definable velocity and aftertouch curves with 11 degrees of hardness/softness.
• Adds the possibility for the user to define the LED brightness. It is possible to choose two factory presets (high or low brightness), or to define a custom user setting with independent controls over the red, white, orange LEDs and the display.
• Fixes a bug that prevented the keyboard to retain the parameter value after the Static Value display was used.
• Fixes a bug that played wrongly incoming MIDI notes.
